How much clearance do you need to deliver a shed?
The short answer
Plan on a delivery path at least one foot wider than the building on a straight shot, plus roughly 16 feet of vertical clearance for the trailer. Tight corners, fences, and tree lines change the math, so send photos of the path first — the full rundown is in our Colorado shed delivery guide.
We deliver fully assembled buildings on a semi or F-350 pulling a specialized trailer that extends from 28 to 42 feet with multiple articulation points and zero-turn capability. A mule rides along for final placement when the trailer cannot back all the way in.
- Width: at least one foot wider than the building on a straight path.
- Height: about 16 feet of vertical clearance, though we can sometimes drop the building and finish placement with the mule.
- Gates and fences: we can remove and replace fence sections as part of the job.
- If access will not work: an on-site build is the fallback at $6.50 per square foot with a $550 minimum.
