A Shed You Can Count On

You shouldn’t have to question the quality of something you paid for. That’s why every shed we build is designed to handle everyday use and tough conditions without cutting corners. And if something falls short because of our work, we step in and make it right.

    LIMITED LIFETIME COVERAGE

    What Our Warranty Covers

Real protection on the things that make your shed a shed — built right, sealed up, and standing strong.

    Workmanship Issues

If a problem comes from how your shed was built or assembled, we'll repair or replace the affected area.

    Structural Performance

Your shed is built to stay stable under normal use. If structural components fail under typical conditions, it's covered.

    Installed Materials

Coverage includes issues related to how materials were installed, including siding, roofing, and framing components.

    Functional Components

Doors, roof systems, and structural elements should perform as intended. If they don't due to workmanship, we'll address it.

    Why a Warranty Matters

A limited lifetime warranty only means something if the company behind it stands by their work. At The Shed Yard, this isn’t just a line on paper—it’s a commitment. If there’s ever an issue tied to how your shed was built, we’ll take responsibility and make it right. That’s the level of confidence we have in every structure we deliver.

Backed by Our Limited Lifetime Warranty

    Why Choose Our Sheds

Every Shed Yard building is engineered for Colorado's toughest seasons — heavy snow loads, blistering sun, high winds, and mountain rain. From the roof and structure down to the floor and base, we use premium materials and proven construction methods so your shed stands strong year after year.

Roof & structure, siding & walls, doors & windows, floor & base — every detail is covered by our Limited Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty. If something isn't right, we make it right.

    The Shed Yard Difference

We Don't Just Sell Structures. We Build & Stand Behind Them.

Occasionally, a client asks us why our pricing is higher than a competitor, a national company, or a random contractor without a business name. We love answering that question, because the price difference isn't just a number — it's a reflection of how we build, how we treat our people, and how we protect your investment.

Many companies in this industry are essentially middleman brokers. They take your order, use standard, low-grade materials, and oftentimes hand the actual work off to out-of-town subcontractors. Far too often, those contractors are gone with the wind the moment the job is wrapped up — and unfortunately, sometimes before it's even finished.

At The Shed Yard, we operate on a completely different set of business ethics. We choose superior materials, utilize heavy-duty building practices, and pay our employees what they are truly worth. Because when you treat craftsmen right, they put genuine pride into every single cut, nail, and truss.

    The Shed Yard Value

Fairly Paid, Skilled Craftsmen (No Vanishing Subcontractors)

We never pass the buck to low-bid, out-of-town contractors who disappear when you need them. Our dedicated, in-house crew handles your build with pride, professionalism, and local accountability.

    Premium-Level Materials & Construction

We build for Colorado's heavy snows, high winds, and harsh seasons. From heavy-duty framing to top-tier materials, we construct every building to last — never to hit a cheap, corner-cut price point on a spreadsheet.

    Warranties Backed by Real Action

We don't just hand you a structure and walk away; we stand behind our work for the long haul. We protect your investment with a 1-1-5 Limited Warranty on our 2-car garages and home shells, and a Limited Lifetime Warranty on our sheds, barns, coops, loafing sheds, and 1-car garages.

    Total Ownership & Zero Excuses

Because we oversee your project from the ground up, there is no middleman to blame and no passing the buck. If you ever have a question or need support, our local team is right here in Colorado to take care of you.

    Sheds: Limited Lifetime Warranty

The Shed Yard offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all sheds to the original purchaser. This warranty guarantees that the shed will be free from structural defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and proper maintenance.

    • Coverage: This covers major structural failures, including floor joists, wall studs, and roof trusses that fail under normal, everyday use.

    • Duration: The warranty remains in effect for the lifetime of the original purchaser, or the industry-standard expected lifespan of the materials used, provided the shed remains owned by the original purchaser at the original installation location.

    • Limitations: This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic changes, or natural weathering of materials.

2-Car Garages and Home Shells: One-Year “Top-to-Bottom” Warranty

The Shed Yard provides a comprehensive One-Year Top-to-Bottom Warranty on all 2-Car Garages and Home Shells, ensuring peace of mind for your major investment.

    • Coverage: We warrant that all materials and workmanship—from the foundation sill plate to the roof shingles—will be free from defects. This includes framing, exterior siding, roofing materials, doors, windows (if provided by us), and overall structural integrity.

    • Duration: Coverage lasts for exactly one year from the date of final installation or delivery.

    Comprehensive Exclusions

While we stand by our materials and craftsmanship, the following circumstances are explicitly excluded from all warranties provided by The Shed Yard:

    • Improper Foundation & Ground Settling: This warranty does not cover structural issues, doors failing to open/close properly, or material stress resulting from inadequate site preparation or an improper foundation provided by the customer or a third party. A proper foundation must be perfectly level, structurally sound, and provide adequate water drainage away from the building. Damage caused by natural ground settling, shifting soil, frost heave, sinkholes, or water pooling under or around the base of the structure is entirely excluded.

    • Animal & Wildlife Damage: Any damage or structural compromise caused by animals, wildlife, pests, or insects is not covered. This includes, but is not limited to, chewing, scratching, nesting, or burrowing by rodents, bears, birds, livestock, or domestic pets, as well as infestations by wood-destroying insects like termites or carpenter ants.

    • Acts of God & Severe Weather: Damage caused by extreme natural events, including but not limited to hurricanes, tornadoes, extreme heavy snowpack, earthquakes, floods, or severe hail.

    • Neglect & Unauthorized Alterations: This warranty is void if the structure suffers damage due to homeowner negligence, misuse, or failure to perform routine maintenance (such as painting, caulking, or roofing upkeep). Additionally, any structural alterations or finishing work (such as electrical, plumbing, or insulation) completed by the customer or third-party contractors after our initial installation will void the warranty for those altered areas.

General Terms Applicable to All Warranties

    • Entire Agreement: This written document constitutes the entire warranty agreement provided by The Shed Yard and supersedes any prior oral or written promises, representations, or agreements made by employees, dealers, or representatives.

    • Non-Transferable: All warranties are extended only to the original purchaser and are completely non-transferable. Relocating the structure from its original installation site immediately voids all warranties.

    • Company Rights: The Shed Yard reserves the right to repair or replace any defective components at our sole discretion. We will strive to match materials as closely as possible if exact original materials are no longer available.

    • Limitation of Liability: Our liability under this warranty is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts. We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to damage to personal property stored inside the structure, loss of use, or loss of time.

    • Governing Law & Dispute Resolution: These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes arising from this warranty shall be resolved exclusively in Fremont County, Colorado.

    • Severability: If any provision of this warranty is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

    How to File a Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, the original purchaser must submit a claim in writing via email to info@theshedyard.com within the active warranty period. To prevent secondary damage, claims must be reported within thirty (30) days of discovering the defect. Secondary damage caused by a failure to report the initial issue promptly is not covered. Your email must include the following:

    • A copy of the original purchase invoice or receipt.

    • Clear, well-lit photographs documenting the defect or issue, including wide shots of the structure and the foundation.

    • A warranty representative will contact you after review of your claim has been completed.

Please note: If a claim is filed and a subsequent on-site inspection reveals the issue is not covered under this warranty (e.g., due to an unlevel foundation, unauthorized alterations, or animal damage), the customer will be responsible for paying a standard service call and inspection fee of $399.00.

Email us your claim and our team will review it within 1 business day.
