Can you deliver to a mountain or rural property?
The short answer
Yes. We deliver fully assembled buildings into Park, Summit, Lake, Grand, Gilpin, Chaffee, and other mountain counties every season using a shed mule that handles dirt roads, grades, and tight corners. On truly landlocked sites we build on site instead. See how we handle tight mountain sites in delivering to mountain and rural properties.
Steep driveways, switchbacks, and washboard county roads are normal weeks for us. The building rides in on a trailer and is set with a shed mule, which can crawl over uneven ground and thread between trees a truck could never back through.
- Aim for a path roughly 1 foot wider than the building and about 16 feet of overhead clearance, assuming a generally straight route.
- Trim low branches and move fencing or gates before the crew arrives.
- Soft spring mud and deep snow can move a date — we watch the weather with you.
- If access truly will not work, we can build on site for an additional cost.
Our post on delivering to mountain and rural Colorado properties shows exactly how these deliveries go, county by county.
