Do I need a permit for a shed in Pueblo, Colorado?
The short answer
In the Pueblo area a residential shed larger than 200 square feet requires a building permit, and the building department notes that zoning approval may be required regardless of size. Two separate questions hide inside one. A building permit asks whether the structure needs plan review and inspections. Zoning asks whether the building is allowed there, at that size, in that spot on the lot. A small shed can skip the first and still be bound by the second.
