Can I run electricity to my shed?
The short answer
Yes, but permanent power usually changes the permit picture. Many Colorado jurisdictions exempt small sheds only when they have no plumbing or permanent electric, so adding a wired circuit generally needs an electrical permit and inspection, and may need a building permit too. Use a licensed electrician. See how the exemptions work in our Colorado shed permit requirements guide.
If you plan to finish the space, our interior finishing option includes insulation, drywall, and electrical, priced as a complete build. Trenching for a power line can be handled as part of site preparation.
