    Common Questions

    Hi-Wall Barn FAQ

Everything Colorado homeowners ask before ordering a new structure.

Do I need a building permit for my new shed?+
While zoning regulations vary by local jurisdiction, most counties only require a building permit for sheds and structures that are 200 square feet or larger. We highly recommend checking directly with your local county building department to confirm the specific permit rules and setback requirements for your property before scheduling your installation.
How much does shed delivery cost?+
If your property allows us to deliver your shed fully assembled, delivery to most locations throughout Colorado is completely free. If your location has limited access and requires us to build your structure on-site, there is an on-site construction fee of $6.50 per square foot (subject to a $550 minimum).
Can you build my shed on-site if my yard has limited access?+
Yes, our team offers professional on-site shed construction! If your property has tight fencing, steep grades, or lacks the necessary clearance for us to deliver a fully assembled structure, our builders can construct your shed right in your yard to ensure you get the exact building you need.
What are the clearance requirements for a fully assembled shed delivery?+
To safely navigate our equipment and deliver a fully assembled shed to your desired location, we require a clear, unobstructed path. The path must be at least 1 foot wider than the total width of your building, and we need a minimum of 16 feet of vertical height clearance. If you are unsure if your yard meets these access requirements, please speak to a representative and we'll be happy to help you evaluate your site.
Can I make monthly payments on my shed?+
Yes, we offer flexible payment plans to make your building affordable. You can choose between traditional financing with competitive rates based on your credit profile, or our hassle-free Rent-to-Own program, which features no credit check and no income verification. Contact a representative today to find the right payment plan for your new structure.

    The Shed Yard Difference

We Don't Just Sell Structures. We Build & Stand Behind Them.

Occasionally, a client asks us why our pricing is higher than a competitor, a national company, or a random contractor without a business name. We love answering that question, because the price difference isn't just a number — it's a reflection of how we build, how we treat our people, and how we protect your investment.

At The Shed Yard, we operate on a completely different set of business ethics. We choose superior materials, utilize heavy-duty building practices, and pay our employees what they are truly worth. Because when you treat craftsmen right, they put genuine pride into every single cut, nail, and truss.

    The Shed Yard Value

Fairly Paid, Skilled Craftsmen (No Vanishing Subcontractors)

We never pass the buck to low-bid, out-of-town contractors who disappear when you need them. Our dedicated, in-house crew handles your build with pride, professionalism, and local accountability.

    Premium-Level Materials & Construction

We build for Colorado's heavy snows, high winds, and harsh seasons. From heavy-duty framing to top-tier materials, we construct every building to last — never to hit a cheap, corner-cut price point on a spreadsheet.

    Warranties Backed by Real Action

We don't just hand you a structure and walk away; we stand behind our work for the long haul. We protect your investment with a 1-1-5 Limited Warranty on our 2-car garages and home shells, and a Limited Lifetime Warranty on our sheds, barns, coops, loafing sheds, and 1-car garages.

    Total Ownership & Zero Excuses

Because we oversee your project from the ground up, there is no middleman to blame and no passing the buck. If you ever have a question or need support, our local team is right here in Colorado to take care of you.
